Just like if you hang out at the pebble beach car week, where most people there are exotic car's owners, which makes it feels like everyone in the U.S. own an exotic car. When in fact most of the general population drive an econobox.

Also most of uber rich HK ppl live either in Kennedy town, Aberdeen, or Central which combined is about as big as Brooklyn & Queens, so I am guessing its pretty easy to spot them in their super car since the most common way to get off HK island is through Central.

And you have to consider cars there are priced almost twice as much for the same model in the US. because of the high import taxes too, making them much less affordable ...

It is often said that majority of cars in HK (as in 50% and above) are premium or luxury cars. Insane when you think about it.
Fuel prices are higher than most other East Asian countries I reckon.
Shell HK top-of-the-line Unleaded fuel costs more than >10 hong kong dollars PER LITER (so on average USD$2 per liter..........which is like 1/3 or 1/4 of a gallon)
And yet to those people, that's chump change.

hahaha seriously if you can afford cars in hk, those fuel cost is nothing. and also, it's mostly local driving in hong kong too so gas mileage sucks
