You mean the old 1970 interior I posted? Yeah, it had a lot of hard-plastic/metal parts and was very poorly-assembled (as were most Chrysler products of the period...I grew up with them in high-school). But, still, I thought the wood-tone on the steering-wheel/dash/console and the clear instruments (which were flood-lit at night) trumped the trim in the new Challenger. The symmetric-3-spoke steering wheel, IMO, also looks better than the present one.

I really enjoy that interior, but then, I didn't grow up riding in newer cars. In fact, to this day, nobody in my immediate family has bought anything newer than a 99. The only exception is my older sister who has a 2006 BMW 328. I've never ridden in it though, since i haven't seen her in a year.
For me, there isn't anything better than this, from a 1967 Pontiac Firebird. It's not quite original, but it's what my dad's interior would look like if we restored it (except for the steering wheel).
NOTE: This picture is actually of a 67 Camaro, but the interiors were identical. Taken from this website: http://simondy.wordpress.com/categor...sion/interior/

I really like the Challenger ... but, only if it has the manual tranny. You could also bolt this on it ...
