less you see, better it looks... overall, it looks like crap :-).
Elantra and Sonata, and even Veloster are much better looking overall.

With a base-price spread of $10,000 from the 2.0T six-speed manual ($25,125) to the 3.8 Track eight-speed automatic ($35,125) the Genesis coupe is poised to do showroom battle with everything from the Scion FR-S to the Infiniti G37S, the latter a car Hyundai is quick to point out costs almost $11,000 more than a similarly equipped Genesis coupe 3.8 Track while offering 18 fewer ponies. The stiffest competition, however, perhaps comes from the excellent 2012 Ford Mustang, which costs just over $23K with its 305-horse V-6 and $30,505 with its 412-horse V-8. (The 2013 Mustang GT will have a few more hp, too.)
It's going to be interesting how the FR-S fares with the likes of the Genesis Coupe packing so much punch from the base model in comparable price range.

Genesis is going to be 4k more expensive? quite an difference there. Toyobaru will outsell it, but again, it is cheaper car... They seem to have 3 month supply of Genesis at dealers, so it is not really selling briskly... I doubt it will improve with base model getting $2.5k increase in price, and more competition coming.

completely different. fr-s is pretty stripped down light fairly noisy miata-fighter. it's a GREAT car. genesis is more comfy, obviously more powerful, more upscale, 2 different engines, more 370z fighter. both great, just totally different.

Base Genesis now weighs over 3400 lbs. So it is significantly heavier than FR-S.

The only negative for me is that horrific front end. Past that this car is substantially improved everywhere else and all enthusiasts should applaud Hyundai for investing and improving this car. Both engines sound great, the tranny as well and the interior is improved. I do think pricing will hurt it but glad to see this option getting improvements.

C&D had a better review and a better Genesis R-spec model:

B/C unlike many that post on the internet, Autoblog is not part of Hyundai's marketing team.

Frs is a more of a drivers car so to say. The steering feel is better from what I've heard.

I like the styling and front end is good. What Hyundai is doing is impressive.

Another overstyled Hyundai. Decent specs, but ruined with the details.
