Lexus Forum, For Ferrari F12berlinetta Lovers!
Yes We realize this is a Lexus Forum!
I own a Lexus but I also own a Ferrari F12.
I use my Lexus for everyday commute while I use my Ferrari on the weekends, sometimes nighttime when i go out for fun.
Let me tell you what make me love my Ferrari F12 even more!
I just replace the exhaust system!
ok, that was my mechanic idea ... after I asked him what could i do to spicy up a little. hahah
he recommended this company that makes performance exhausts and I said yes!
Ok, I will admit! I just turned 40 and I am having a little bit of middle life crisis! Well, this is not the point! The point is that my mechanic convinced me to purchase a new performance exhaust system and I really love it!
You might ask, why change it?
ok, after a little research I found out:
- It can improve the throttle response.
(because it improves how fast and smoothly the car reacts)
- It can boost the horsepower
(because it provides just the right amount of back pressure)
- It can improve the fuel economy
(because the optimized design allows a better combustion of the fuel)
- It can give your car a facelift (or a back lift since that’s where you can see it)
(because it comes with fancy pipe tips and can be made out nice metals)
- it can turn your ride into a roaring monster (this is my personal favorite)
(because it turns the natural sound emission into a pleasant, powerful and yet sexy sound)
OMG .. the sound is amazing! Im not kidding .. it upgraded my car to a whole new level!
The Best of all?
My new exhaust system comes with the feature of ON, OFF and AUTO mode. I really love it, especially when I need leave home early to work or when I go visit my mother at the retirement home.
Im not kidding!
I love my car ... even more these days!
Just as a side note, I am a resident of the bay area, I’ve been married for 20 years and I work for a big corporation. I am not a reseller of the product;
I honestly just wanted to share my newest joy in life

Wow, in real-life photos the F12 looks even uglier than the press photos! .
For me, last Ferrari that I liked styling-wise was the Enzo. Most Ferrari models pre-Enzo I really liked the styling of. Many of those had the classic Ferrari styling, styling that is almost timeless with the simple lines and shapes. The 599 for me is decent but I'm not a huge fan of it. The 612 is pretty bland but I don't hate it. Everything post-599 and post-612 I have hated from Ferrari.

Ferrari , in my mind, doesn't make mistakes with current design language. Its an amazing match between form and function. I love the F12. It looks amazing and like most newer Ferraris, they will blow your mind in person. I still remember all the crap talking people were throwing out when the 458 Italia hit the streets. I even thought it looked odd at first, but when I saw it on the road in motion it is easily one of the best looking cars ever made ( imho).
Let me add that it is very cool that we have a CL member with a car of this caliber.

New One-Off Ferrari SP America - Can You Tell Which Model It's Based on?
It’s only been a few months since Ferrari displayed to a select few its most recent one-off model dubbed SP FXX and created by the brand's Special Projects division, yet it seems that the Italians have already finished off another unique car, purportedly named SP America.
The photo landed on our virtual desks from Carscoops' reader Rafael, who mentioned, "I got an exclusive and reliable pic to the next Ferrari SP AMERICA!!".
As you may imagine, details are extremely thin at this point and the only thing we managed to learn is that it should be introduced soon – whether Ferrari will make a big deal of it or if it only shows the car through certain channels, is another matter.
By John Halas
Update: Our tipster just told us that it is a "targa version of the F12berlinetta"
Thanks to Rafael for the pic!
