Default 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe

2013 Hyundai Santa Fe previewed on Twitter ahead of NY reveal

In a lineup packed with new and/or freshly styled vehicles, Hyundai's two larger crossovers, the Santa Fe and its all-but-forgotten three-row counterpart, the Veracruz, still wear the automaker's last-generation styling language. That will be addressed (in part, at least) at next month's New York Auto Show when Hyundai unveils the 2013 Santa Fe.

To get people talking, Hyundai published two renderings of its new CUV this evening via its Twitter feed. Predictably, the 2013 Santa Fe gets sharper lines that are much more in keeping with the rest of the model lineup, and the new face validates a spy photo that hit the web back in January.

Hyundai calls the crossover's fresh styling language "Storm Edge," saying it's an evolution of the "Fluidic Sculpture" theme it's been using the last few years.

Based on the the profile shot, which shows a very small window aft of the rear doors, it appears that the Santa Fe will, for the time being, continue to be a two-row crossover (its optional third row was canned after the 2009 model year) that's designed to battle the likes of the Nissan Murano, Ford Edge, and Toyota Venza.

Whether Hyundai will also use the occasion to formally confirm the rumored long-wheelbase, three-row variant to replace the Veracruz remains to be seen. It's clear the automaker knows that it's hurting in that department.

I'm really liking this design. It is a beefier, more aggressive Tucson, which I already like. Hyundai continues rolling out the hits.

Yup. Given their recent track record it will do very well.

I read this was a Venza competitor and the Rav4 was a Tuscon competitor.

2 pages of the brochure leaked, for the KDM model. I don't think all of these features will make it over for the US model, but I sure hope most do. This is on my short list. I'm going to be looking at the Highlander, Sorento, and a CPO RX before making my decision. Have to rule out the Venza due to styling, and interior. I can't justify spending that much money if I don't atleast like the basics of the exterior/interior. Hoping Toyota/Lexus continue to come back strong! I have high hopes for the new Avalon.

3rd row seats? Looks like the Veracruz might be axed...........which is sad because it's the first Korean car that I ever liked.

Very clean and modern look. I suspect this will be hugely successful.
No quesiton, Hyundai is on their game. This is where Honda needs to be.

New Images, and High res versions. These may be for the US model, but that is not confirmed at this point. Really beautiful, I am very impressed. I'm coming out of 5 Toyota Solaras, 99,99, 2002, 2004, 2007, GS350 2007 AWD, and this new Sante Fe like the Azera seems very impressive for the price point it will be offered at. Now I'm not saying it will be a Luxury vehicle, but Hyundai really has been doing a lot of things right as of late.
