To answer to the question, 1.4L multiair in Abarth 500 is one of the best sounding 4 cylinder in the market. If someone is going to mod the car anyway, just get Miata with 2.0L and hope that aftermarket is releasing upgrades for the car early, so you can buy reliable mods based on user data.

From what I heard, most complains are minor issues that still requires visiting dealership. Since this time around, material is sourcing by Mazda, I don't see any reliability concern at all. You can always wait for the while to see if there is any issue with the early production though.

45hp less, does 0-60 1 sec faster. Subaru and Toyota need to do s.th.
