Good for the bus driver and other motorist that blocked the car in.

It is nice that some cities are having bicycle friendly roadways built/designed. Not perfect though it does give better separation for vehicle traffic, slow moving cyclists and pedestrians.

Glad biker was ok, Dont agree with Bikes on road, but the bus driver I give kudos to. I would have done the same thing, had I been driving a large vehicle capable of blocking both lanes.

Great--run down us pedestrians on the sidewalk. I understand that riding in the street can be pretty hairy, but riding on the sidewalk--at least in PA--is illegal, and is dangerous for the pedestrians (who aren't wearing helmets to protect them).

While I question why this cyclist was riding down the middle of the lane, he had every right to be there by PA law, and was not, under PA law, permitted to ride on the sidwalk.

Kudos to the bus driver, thumb down to the hit and run driver, and common sense for the biker, I mean, yes it's a law that they can use the full lane (very stupid IMO) but if your smart, you would never leave your life up to a driver being aware. I would ride as close as possible to the far right of the lane instead of the middle like that guy.

Aside from the hit-and-run d-bag, you have to notice how many times in that short video there is a near accident because of how slow that bicyclist is going. While I don't condone the driver that hit him, it seems like it was bound to happen. When you have vehicles traveling 30+ mph and changing lanes to clear the slow moving bicyclist (maybe 10mph at best), the cars behind that can't see the obstacle until after somebody changes a lane are highly likely to hit him. Personally, there is no way I'd put myself in that situation. I value my life way too much to allow another driver to take responsibility for my own safety.

It doesn't take a genius to realize that if you're going 10 mph in a 30-40 mph zone, you're an obstacle and a danger to others and yourself. There's no reason I should have to follow a cyclist for 5 miles because I can't pass him. They need to learn to get the hell out of the way.

Here in Winnipeg last year they were giving out $220 fines on one bridge that cyclist were using the sidewalk to pass the traffic on. It is illegal to ride on the sidewalk here unless you are a small child.
