good choice.
my mom had a CR-V and i use to drive it around. it is, well, an CUV so some road noise is to be expected. but the I4 is actually pretty powerful and has Awsome cargo space.
with that said, i would probably go with Toyota Vender (forget how to spell it).

Venza. It is somewhat like the Outback-Legacy comparison......a raised-suspension Camry with a 5-door liftback/wagon body style. But the Venza has (IMO) ridiculous 19 and 20-inch wheels on what is essentially a family-wagon.

Plus Toyota quality has been lacking lately on the new models so I want to change it up a bit and go with Honda.

Goodness, the current Rav4 is already as big as the 1st generation Highlander. I really hope they keep it the same size, if not make it smaller. If I wanted a larger vehicle, I would have bought a Highlander.

Bit, the price approaches nicely equipped highlander territory when you load up a Rav as well. I have never understood why automakers do this. There should be a definitive line in pricing and a gap between one model to the next. Where is the incentive to buy a loaded corolla if the 3/4 loaded Camry next to it is the same price?

WOW, the new CRV looks like a high riding sports wagon more then the older SUV/CUV it use to be, congrats on the purchase and congrats to you and your wife on a healthy and happy baby

While Honda has been getting a lot of negative attention for the ugly cars and carryover powertrains it has spawned recently, the CR-V is a good-looking car that certainly hits a sweet spot in its market. Seems like they took care of the road noise problem too. Haters gonna hate, CR-Vs gonna sell

Strangely enough, when I was working at Subaru, there were many complaints from customers that they did not like the wood trims, it made it look too old and they would have prefered regular plastic or aluminium or along those lines. See a regular Outback and Outback limited (in which you get wood instead of aluminium-like plastic).

I saw a loaded Venza at the Toyota dealer--for $38,000! That's significantly more than the CR-V. To me, Venza is a really nice alternative to the RX350 (with a lower stance)...
