BMW owners twice as likely to be adulterers as drivers of other brands
We're not so sure how scientific its poll was, but an online dating service that calls itself the U.K.'s largest for married people says that men who cheat on their wives are twice as likely to drive a BMW than any other brand of car.
According to NineMSN.com, Illicit Encounters points to the "intrinsic link between success and cheating" to explain the connection between Bimmers and adultery. Some 19 percent of the dating website's members drive a BMW, including 11 percent of the women who responded to the survey, according to the report. Coming in second on the survey was Audi, with Mercedes-Benz a close third. While BMW may not be outwardly proud of this "victory," we're sure at least someone in Munich is glad to have bested its German rivals.

Bimmers in general, IMO (minus a couple of annoyances like I-Drive and the electronic shifters), are such a nice driving experience that why would people even concern themselves with illicit relationships? They can find enough satisfaction behind the wheel.

I don't think the bimmer is the issue though. It's a sign, but not the cause. Adulterers are insatiable, lol. Nothing is good enough for them.

Or more like:
Adulters on online dating sites are twice as likely to lie about owning a BMW than any other brands
Disclosure: I own a pre-facelift e46 as a daily driver and don't cheat (at least physically :-))

Oh cool, a thread about cars and psychology!
This may or may not be related to the cheating thing, but I've noticed many BMW drivers tend to be highly concerned about what image they project to others. For example, I live next to a university and lots of BMW's circulate around campus with music blaring, windows down, and hand with cigarette hanging out the window. In my opinion, that display for attention is an effort to shore up a little insecurity.
Okay, guessing game incomplete.
