Very impressive. Man, Lexus is on a roll with the 4GS. I cant wait to see what they have up their sleeves with the 5LS, and 3IS. Lexus is going to open a can of woop *** on MErcedes this year. They will be drawing in some big numbers with the new GS, especially with all of the recent accolades and comparison wins.

Motortrend got it wrong. The US GS450h is not equipped with DRS. That makes its handling commendation all the more impressive. Imagine if DRS was equipped, it would have pushed the Panamera a lot harder on the handling circuit.

Both GS magzine comparo wins came from MotorTrend. I guess Lexus is finally playing BMW marketing game. It's been a long way since the days when Lexus HQ would send out 2GS with 16" wheels for sport sedan comparo to go to head to head with BMW 5er PR edition. Lexus has finally caught up in driving and marketing department.
BTW I wouldn't be surprised even if this 450h did indeed have rear steering.

Lexus was more fun, fast enough, better mpg and a lot more livable, especially around town.

I have to laugh at the flaws of this person's comments. I find it really amusing.

Ok what advantage does the Hybrid bring? I see no point to the heavy electric motors in these cars. When you have v6 mustangs and other cars hitting 0-60 and 1/4 miles the same as these cars and getting 30mpg hwy it makes you scratch your head and think that this hybrid crap doesn't add anything but weight!!!
1. It's the batteries that add weight, not the electric motors.
2. Though quick, the Mustang is a different class of car entirely. This is like comparing a Hoover to a Compaq Presario...not the same.
3. Ok, the Mustang does achieve a cool 30 MPG Hwy, yet in the city it's 19 MPG estimate, is far shy of the 29 MPG designation earned by the GS.
But wait, there is more!

Pretend Is the key word here... Why not add the new BMW 328i in the mix it's a 4 cylinder turbo that is faster to 60 faster in the 1/4 mile and gets 34 mpg and we all know it could be a drivers race with the Porsche. It seems electric hybrids need to go back to the drawing boards cuz conventional cars can out do them in all catagories.
Now this individual has decided to further compare a different class of car to the hybrids in question. Shall we also compare the sun to a lava lamp? I think not. More appropriate would be the 240 HP, 528i, boasting a rating of 23/34 and 0-60 of 6.3 seconds. Now, the ActiveHybrid 5 (23/30) gets you 3 MPG in the city over the 535i and costs $8k more. Yikes.
