I have to laugh at the flaws of this person's comments. I find it really amusing.

Ok what advantage does the Hybrid bring? I see no point to the heavy electric motors in these cars. When you have v6 mustangs and other cars hitting 0-60 and 1/4 miles the same as these cars and getting 30mpg hwy it makes you scratch your head and think that this hybrid crap doesn't add anything but weight!!!
1. It's the batteries that add weight, not the electric motors.
2. Though quick, the Mustang is a different class of car entirely. This is like comparing a Hoover to a Compaq Presario...not the same.
3. Ok, the Mustang does achieve a cool 30 MPG Hwy, yet in the city it's 19 MPG estimate, is far shy of the 29 MPG designation earned by the GS.
But wait, there is more!

Pretend Is the key word here... Why not add the new BMW 328i in the mix it's a 4 cylinder turbo that is faster to 60 faster in the 1/4 mile and gets 34 mpg and we all know it could be a drivers race with the Porsche. It seems electric hybrids need to go back to the drawing boards cuz conventional cars can out do them in all catagories.
Now this individual has decided to further compare a different class of car to the hybrids in question. Shall we also compare the sun to a lava lamp? I think not. More appropriate would be the 240 HP, 528i, boasting a rating of 23/34 and 0-60 of 6.3 seconds. Now, the ActiveHybrid 5 (23/30) gets you 3 MPG in the city over the 535i and costs $8k more. Yikes.

GS and Camry Hybrid are pretty much only hybrid sedans with usable trunk out there...
Old GS Hybrid trunk was so small i decided not to purchase the car because of it.

Yea, you get 3 MPG city, 35 more HP, and a much lighter wallet.
I blame the Pilgrims. They started this.
The Camry hybrid went from 10.6 cu. ft. to 13.1 in the redesigned model. That is a healthy increase. Should be great news for the ES as well. Very appealing to me anyway.

I think it will only get better - for instance, new Prius c has complete system under rear seats and as such absolutely no space is lost anymore.

and if we leveraged our vast natural gas supply, we wouldn't need hybrids. but that would take vision.

hybrids at least are not socialists though.
obama is clearly a socialist, hating large business (unless they can be bought to vote, e.g. uaw), hating on rich people (even though he's rich) except for his donors, hating private healthcare (he didn't get a single payer, so his obamacare will destroy the industry anyway), and hating oil/gas/coal energy industries while raping them to fund failing 'green' businesses.

You talking about how he wants billionaires to pay their fair share of taxes instead of being immune to the tax bug. When the employee pays more tax than the employer there is a problem. So if someone who makes 10,000 has to pay 10%. Why would someone who makes 1,000,000,000 not have to pay at LEAST 10%? Not actually figures but same point. If thats not the case, then correct me, I do not waste time on politics too much especially since I live in Canada now.![Stick Out Tongue](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)

Exactly if it can be cashed as money and that is their income basis they should have pay taxes on that. Not when they chose to but when they borrow on it. So if they do not buy anything or make any money in 2012 then fine, but if their stocks make 3 billion in 2012. Then they should be taxed on it like anyone who made a pay check for that much.
