I have never driven any other GS4 so I can't compare them. I had an 2001 GS430 for a few years, and boy this GSh is light years better in terms of driving feel and handling. The GSh does drive like a much smaller car, I guess due to litte body roll and quick direction changes.
Acceleration is effortless when merging or overtaking. When driven like a hybrid to maximize MPG, the car is amazing quiet with or without the V6 running, much more quiet than my RXh. if I were to trade my RXh for another DD, the GSh would be it.

To Ice350, if Motortrend were on the take, like you're implying, they're sure laying it on thick. One of their editors just called the GS450h the best Lexus since the original LS400 :

Looks like MT really really wants to make sure VW,Audi,Porsche,BMW and MB take notice, get pissed-off and take their advertising dollars somewhere else(sarcasm implied).
Lexus GS450h
If you are rich, might I direct you towards the Lexus GS 450h -- the "h" stands for hybrid. As you may be aware, the new GS has become something of a darling around our office. The F Sport version beat out the BMW 535i, the Audi A6, and the Infiniti M37 in a recent comparison. After that, the GS 450h (identical to the car I drove in Europe) beat the Porsche Panamera Hybrid as well as the Infinti M35h. Motor Trend likes the GS. And driving 1 around Europe made me like the GS even more. I think it's the best Lexus product since the original LS back when the brand launched.
