Default Nissan Juke-R to get limited production run

Nissan Juke-R to get limited production run

It's a rare thing, but every now and then, our automotive wishes come true. Nissan has announced that it will produce the heinous Juke-R in very limited numbers after a warm reception in Dubai. The company has already received three orders so far, and Nissan says it will begin taking additional orders in the next four weeks.

Each model will be built to order using model year 2012 drivetrain components, meaning there's a modest bump in power – 545 horsepower versus the original Juke-R's 480. As you may recall, the first Juke-R used bits cannibalized from a 2010 GT-R. How much will the machine cost? Nissan isn't saying, but we'd be willing to bet the Juke-R will carry an MSRP a bit higher than the GT-R.

With 545 horsepower crammed into the quirky lines of the Juke, the machine is unlike anything else on the road.

Reuter said the Juke-R will be priced from around $590,000, knocking the LFA off the throne of the most expensive Japanese car ever put into production.

I don't care how ugly it is, I applaud Nissan for building this. Funny cause this was a skunkworks project and initially Nissan was pissed it was made but there is no denying the "wow" factor when it debuted. I have a tremendous soft spot for craziness like. Its simply a factory built crazy *** car some aftermarket shop might have done.

What I honestly don't get, what just confused me to no end is how Nissan will have two GTR engine cars, two cars costing more than any Infiniti and no one at Infiniti thought to do this and slap this motor and mechanicals in something? Are they really satisfied with IPL and 4 SUVs? I don't understand how in around 5 years no Infiniti product has this, even as a concept or project. WTF.

Badass, but hideous and pointless. You could get an LF-A and 2 GT-R's for that $.

What $? I don't see any price mentioned.

It was fun watching this little wart spank some expensive exotic tail in Dubai.

Well, Megan Fox does nothing for me so...

I'd probably go with the runner.

Funny how Nissan's tone has changed about this car. Initially they were not happy that the car was being built and now that the car has had tons of publicity they want a limited run. At least they are listening to the fans and enthusiasts. I would still rather a 2013 black edition GTR over this thing any day
