Like it or not, it'll still be popular among those looking for a small luxury badged convertible

Just like the F30 3-series, it's more an evolution of the E90 platform than it is a whole new car. Looks 90% the same to me.

Yup. That one has been on the rumor mill for some time. It will sell well. If you're keeping track, that means:

3-Series:
sedan
wagon
GT

4-series:
coupe
gran coupe
convertible
suv (X4)

You know I actually could go for a 4-series Gran Coupe. Totally sexy cars. I nearly rear-ended somebody once gawking at the current 6er Gran Coupe. I think I love my convertible too much, though.

I've been trying to get into a 6 Series GranCoupe, but its just a little too rich for my blood - my fall back at this point is the 550i

The 550i and 6 Series are two cars I want but can't afford. I'll roll around in a 328i convertible before I can move up to the big money cars.

Don't want to thread jack but here are some pics of a 435i that we had at our BMW dealership a couple days ago.

It just looks boring and rigid to me, like every line is carefully calculated vs. artfully created.

I think the 4 door 4 series will sell well in the states. Its like a 4 series for larger Americans. My =biggest issue with the 3 series is only the size. Its a tiny little car

I hope this convertible will be available in Xdrive. I am itching to replace our A5 cabriolet.

4 series M sport package looks so much better than the base package 4 series.
