Ford Taurus SHO Performance Package adds track day bite
Ford has made a Performance Package available for the the 2013 Taurus SHO, promising "uncompromised response, road-holding and durability." There's no extra horsepower added to proceedings, but parts like the firmer suspension springs and dampers, upgraded cooling system, high-performance brake pads and stability control that can be turned completely off are meant to help you make the most of its 365 horses.
Video - dunno why I can't get the URL to show up here in CL

I have had an opportunity to get a "spirited" ride in one of these and all I can say is WHOOOAAAAAAA!!!!!! This DEF is not the Taurus of old and even being a SHO wayyyy outperforms it's predecessor (old school SHO). This car IS a big car and a nasty angry beast, but the SHO package has enough attitude to back it up too. This car will ALMOST makes you forget that you are hurling a 2 ton best around with almost sports car like precision. Ford's old slogan used to be "Have you driven a Ford Lately?" My answer used to be no, but I can't say that anymore; I WILL say that it won't be the last time. Try it,, it will become a guilty pleasure. Only things that dissuades me tho is the $40k+ that this car now commands. If you are looking for something to add to your "sleeper cell", then you will most likely enjoy this one.
