Not into feet or disrespect so its a no go for me. I will say that when my girl does it, depending on how long a drive sometimes I pick a different battle.

Same as others have mentioned. The gf used to get away with it for the most part. I did the same in her car post op just to see if she'd react, and she did. Since that incident, my dashboard hasn't been her or anyone's ottoman.

Doesn't matter what he or she is wearing it's no, simply for safety.

I agree it's your car and your rules, Henry, but more is involved than simply ownership here. If the passengers' side airbag goes off for any reason, that person could get serious injuries by having feet or legs resting on the dash. That also goes, BTW, for setting personal things on the dash like glasses, cell-phones, purses, books, lipstick/make-up, etc.....

In most states, the driver (unless he or she is a student driver witn an instructor) is responsible to make sure that each person in the car is belted up properly, child-seats are used properly, and that everyone is sitting and riding in as safe a manner as possible.

I am fortunate enough to get to do air bag deployments as part of my job. From the testing I run, there is no way in hell I'd let anyone I drive with have their feet on the IP (dash). The bag is fully filled in a little over 15% the time it takes you to blink (~35ms). There's enough power in the inflator to shatter a windshield, so I'd hate to see what it could do to some floppy legs. Especially if they are sexy legs! I'd never forgive myself.
