3rd row vehicle

Another vote for the CX-9. Bought one last November and its really fun to drive compared to other crossovers in the price range. 3rd row space is very usable and the second row slides as well. MPG was improved a bit for 2011 (at least official EPA) and I get around 19 in mixed driving. The interior is very handsome IMO. I did not get the Nav as most people say its pretty bad. One HUGE difference with my GS is the paint quality. Mazda paint has terrible orange peel.

Just liked the Mazda better over all. If I was shopping purely on mpg, I'd get the Higlander Hybrid. I'm just saying that looking solely at 5 speed vs. 6 speed as the deciding factor may overlook other factors. I agree--I'm surprised that the Highlander still has a 5 speed, especially when other Lexus and Toyotas have 6 and even 8 speeds. If the Highlander went to 6 speed, I'd have to think the mpg would be even better.
