Yet the Camry sold 33% more than the 2nd place Accord last month. It has beaten most competitors in comparison tests. It looks better than the new Altima, which actually has some odd wavy lines and proportions - kinda surprised at all the love over it. The Camry's interior is also better IMO.
Different strokes. The Camry couldn't be less interesting for me.
Oh, and sales don't necessarily make a car the best car. Camry has won agianst everyone's end of cycle cars, except Passat which has beaten Camry an at least a couple of comparos.

Last gen Camry also fared well and won a review or two. That wasn't enough for people either The Camry is not the stylistic champion but like the Accord its not terrible either no matter what the Camry/Toyota haters want to say. Same with the Accord, its not terrible even with newer competition.
Again to me if I had to get in the witness protection program and buy a car in this class, it seems the new Altima on paper is the winner for me. Hope to rent one soon.
More revealing images I found at autoevolution while looking for the W222 and Lexus XF50 & XE30. Seems like a slight throwback to the 6th generation Accord first introduced back in 1997, plus similarities to the pre-facelift Hyundai Genesis' rear.
