Don't care for the new 3-series, so this is nice. However, I'd not be comfy buying a lame duck model. New replacement will be out soon. Of course, this doesn't matter if you are not an auto enthusiast, like most people are not.
Cool pics.
^ Don't think you always need to be in the latest to be an enthusiast. But anyways I see the current F30 line as more of an evolution of the outgoing E90 than something that's radically different. Heck even the older E46's still look pretty good to me.
A lot of reviews are complainting the new electric power steering system, and said the new models are losing car-driver connection, hell, even the new Porsche 911 has switched to electric steering. I think this is just how things have to change since electric steering can boost mpg, and for another advanced tech, for example, self parking assist.
I've driven the new F10 5-series various models on 4 different occasions and have not been able to connect with the car. Just feels totally numb and isolated, and hardly any better to drive than my parents new 2012 Camry! I get into my E93 though and it's a night and day difference with that car-driver connection still being there. Even reviews of the M5 have commented on it still feeling very isolated. I know it's all in the name of progress and technology (and more like fuel economy standards), but I'm not going to pay $50k to buy something that feels like I'm driving a computer. My E93 feels great to drive.
Wind deflector is a good idea, but people in and out of the back of her car too much. Same with mine. I do the kiddie daycare runs both morning and afternoon in mine.
