my friend's new '12 BMW E93 335i convertible, what do you think?
First time doing rolling automotive shots...
So apparently my '11 E93 left a big enough impression on a friend that she went ahead and custom ordered one for herself back in the spring. Well it's finally here, and wow I think she looks great in it! She's upgrading from a nearly 10 year old Japanese SUV, so what a delight it must be! Car just came in not even a few weeks ago, so wanted to hurry up and get a photo shoot done of her and the new ride before the newness wore off. Hate to say it, but I now have much better pics of her car than I do of my own, and I've had mine nearly a year now, lol.

Thanks guys, yup she seems to be enjoying the heck out of the car! I think the black on red looks great, and she really "wears it well" too.
She did get a pretty good deal on it, but the next "F33" 3er convertible isn't due until MY14, so still a ways off. June was the last month for production of the current E93 though, so she did get one of the last. not sure if there's going to be a MY13 E93 yet. One thing I saw suggested that it would be discontinued after MY12, and that they would skip MY13 with it going on hiatus and wait until the F33 is released sometime next year as a MY14 car?? No idea... Supposedly not being called the 3-series anymore either, but rather a 4-series.
To be honest I haven't been all that impressed with any of the newer BMWs. They're all numb and completely lacking in feel. Have driven the F10 5er numerous and just haven't been able to connect with the car. Same with the new F30 3er which I drove at the BMW Team USA event. Numb electric steering, completely isolated, really didn't feel any better to drive than my parents new 2012 Camry?? That's partly why I just ordered an E70 X5d for my wife. Hurry up and get one before the new one comes out which will be ruined and have the last bit of traditional BMW feel removed from it.
The seat belt contraption is pretty slick actually. It's tied in with the headrest height adjustment and the memory seats, so whenever you get in the car with your memory seat selection the seatbelt is always at the correct height for your shoulder. Also does a pretty good job of managing the belt as you fold the seat forward and back to get rear passengers in and out. Have never had the belt get tangled - it's always right where you need it.

A lot of reviews are complainting the new electric power steering system, and said the new models are losing car-driver connection, hell, even the new Porsche 911 has switched to electric steering. I think this is just how things have to change since electric steering can boost mpg, and for another advanced tech, for example, self parking assist.
