Official 4th-gen Prius pics leaked ahead of the world debut at 9pm PDT today. Not sure about all the white plastic in the center console... but overall it doesn't look as intolerably bad as I thought.

Okay, the interior is alright. I can't find one good thing to say about the exterior. However, it makes the Mirai look like the Prom queen so maybe that was their idea, to move buyers towards the hydrogen car

Not that i ever turned to the prius as a great example in automotive design but, Got damn that is freaking terrible! A complete mess. No amount of mpg improvement can save this. Praying for emergency refresh.
Wasn't one of the rumors it was delayed because of the styling?! And this is what we get? Lol.

What a weak premiere. Absolutely nothing but the exterior was shown. No MPGs, no drag coefficient, not a single stat, no mention of any new technologies, and not even a word about the all-important new hybrid drivetrain. What a non-event and a waste of PR opportunity to show the world how far ahead Toyota is in the hybrid game.

Highlights I see include:
- Over 40% thermal efficiency (versus 38.5% in the current Prius)
- Chassis over 60% more rigid than that of the 3rd-gen Prius
- Class-challenging low center of gravity
- New front suspension and rear double wishbone suspension
- 60 mm longer, 15 mm wider and 20 mm lower
- 55mpg combined (versus 50mpg in the current Prius)

It looks way better in videos than in still pictures... they should have released more colors.
Things to note is new nimh battery that is lighter and more compact as well as new Eco-model with better MPG than regular models here. It will be introduced later in October at Auto show.
Also, it has most advanced TSS safety system with steering help, like in Lexus.
