Great find. What happened to the car now?

 

Not much, haven't driven it since Saturday but I'll drive it to the auction on Wednesday if the weather is nice I have put over 9k miles on it since the end of last summer... well, the end of last September.



There is is parked behind my GS.

I did a few things to it. If you guys are interested I could start a thread on my old stuff.

Thanks but when I said I. Driving it to the auction I'm parking it in dealer parking I'm going to Manheim NJ like I do most every week... There's some SRT8s down there that I need......

It's not for sale

 

I didn't even plan on flipping it, but like i said i needed the money more then the car. Theres a 1991 bmw 318i convertible for sale in mint condition but is only 1800 because the car isn't being driven because the daughter is away at college and it sits undriven with 190k miles. I was thinking about getting it and keeping it as a fun/second car until i can find a miata i really want, i find myself settling for whatever miata falls into my price range. I feel like the BMW could make me at least a few hundred bucks and i could have an economical fun car to drive to, it has all service records, from Cali, and the current owner is a mechanic, only thing that worries me is car hasnt been driven in 2 years on the road.

 

Wow, it even has the dual airbags, which is rare for a 1989 model. Always loved these as both of my grandfathers had several late model W126s(primarily 420SE, 500SEL and 560SELs) they used as company and personal cars. In 1988 they were among the first few of S-Class owners in Africa to have dual airbags in their cars, which at the time was such a novel safety feature of course.
