Well, they still got Xterra to do the offroad market. I would say it's a smart move just like JX. People mover looks better than a minivan will sell.

BTW, now I saw the rear picture, it looks like 2 different SUVs, the front is square and the back is round?!

I am disappointed this is the same power train as in the Infiniti JX. One of the lowest hp ratings in the segment and for a sizable CUV. By comparisons sake the Nissan Maxima puts out 290hp from the same engine.
Didn't understand that either. The maxima's been putting out 265 since 2004 using the vq35.

right, and with the 2009 remodel it was upped to 290 mated with a CVT. So I don't understand why they put a relatively mild mill into a large vehicle such as this when they have more potent versions at their disposal.

Not feeling the looks. I'd go with the Toyota 4Runner.

I really like this new Pathfinder. After having a baby, we will trade in our ’04 Mazda 3 for a 7 seater crossover, and the new Pathfinder is at the top of the list. I like the nicer features the Pathfinder has: heating & cooled front seats, heated rear seats & steering wheel, Around-View monitor, Intelligent Key, 13 speaker Bose, etc. The only disappointing is that Xenon headlights are not available (seems odd, as the Murano offers them).

A lot of people are complaining about CVT, but as a baby hauler, I don’t care to drive it aggressively.

why does it look like a chrysler pacifica? I thought the pathfinder was supposed to be somewhat of a real truck platform like a 4Runner. This thing looks like a mix between a minivan and some type of crossover. Look at that ground clearance... I don't see any.

Okay... so will this replace the Murano? It looks almost the same. Proportions and overall design is near identical. What the hell is the point of this car?

No it simply is the new MallRunner SUVs are family cars now and multiple car makers offer multiple SUVs in their lineups. The Murano isn't going anywhere.

Look this is what the market wants. Sure using the Pathfinder name is blasphemy but surely this will sell better and it seems like a much better vehicle. The last gen was one of the worst vehicles I ever drove.

What I do find ridiculous is this and the JX have 260hp which is a 2002 hp rating and fanboys are making excuses how this market doesn't care about HP when all they scream is how much HP stock other VQ cars have. So which one is it? The bottom line is 260hp is simply disappointing.

This fits perfectly for Nissan. Welcome new MallFinder.

I prefer the ruggedness of the current generation. This should come with an automatic tampon dispenser, standard.
