Ford is just cutting costs by putting all of their cars on a global platform. In the past European and US Fords were completely different, even when carrying the same model name. The new Mustang is probably going to use a whole new platform that appeals to customers worldwide.

I've read a few articles that stated the 2015 mustang will resemble the Evos concept

There's your key word. Nothings set in stone, and non of those articles are "Official".

Here's some renderings to enjoy

Yeah never said they were, just pointing out the new Mustang will likely take some design cues from the Evos.

IMO those renderings look great. I really hope the new Mustang looks similar to the Evos. It would attract a younger generation of customers

first pic in Red, the front end design is much better. if they stick with that, they have a winner. would like to see it from the back also.

Default Ford Mustang headed to Europe

Ford Mustang headed to Europe

We've known for sometime now that Europeans love the Ford Mustang. Gray market importers have made plenty of cash by shipping the ponies from the United States to the EU for years, but now it looks as if buyers will be able to sink their teeth into brand-new, factory-perfect examples of the next-generation Mustang straight from Ford.

Ford Europe has announced that the Mustang is officially coming to the old country via a quick, 30-second YouTube video. The launch is part of a 15-model offensive by the Blue Oval in the EU, according to NPR, and the company projects the new sheetmetal should help the brand boost its sales by 20 percent across the continent.

The Mustang is not a $100k car.

The Genesis motor is a weak motor and makes about the same as a 370z with 'only' 330hp, running on a platform about 400lbs heavier. There are no 6 cylinder motors in this price range (nor 8 cylinder) that can touch the Coyote 5.0.

Give me a DI version of the Boss 302 motor in a Aston Martin-esque look car with IRS and a nice interior, and I'll trade my BMW in on one in a heartbeat. I am very excited about this car.
