If it was the only car that I could drive, for the rest of my life, I'd get the Camry.

Edit:
Scratch that, forgot about Avalon. Fully loaded ftw.

Camry. Drove 4 generations of Camry from 1995 to 2010; rode in a rental Camry last week and forgotten just how good it is. And the word on the street (amongst a number of my friends and colleagues, none of whom are "enthusiasts"/Supra drivers) is that the Camry is an affordable luxury car, just one step down from a Lexus. Many like to criticize it, but it is popular for very good reason(s).

Surprised that no-one mentioned the Toyota Hilux Diesel.
A vehicle that i'd want to drive and a vehicle that will last a life time.
Cheers,

I'd pick the LFA hands down, But if it has to be a "Toyota" Toyota, it's a tough choice between the MKIV Supra or a 69 2000GT. decisions decisions

Cheers,
Sadly, Southeast version of Hilux is Hilux Vigo, and it's a complete crap aside from being fuel efficient. The previous generation "Hilux Tiger" was a much better truck.

Yes. I'll have the Hilux Diesel a-la Top Gear Torture test please!
IEDs, roll overs, 700 lbs of welded on armor... no problem... loved "Frankenstein" back in the sandbox...
Cheers,

The opposite is said here. Camry's here are said to be unreliable and definitely not in the category of luxury cars.

The Avalon would probably be the most comfortable-riding Toyota as one's back and legs age (remember, we're talking about a Toyota for the rest of your life). But, in general, for bad-weather areas, I agree with you.......an AWD Venza would generally be an excellent choice. The only problem is that the Venza's designers won't put smooth-riding wheels and tires like on the rival Subaru Outback...they inexplicably insist on the low-profile 19" and 20" wheels.

I'd go for a 2013 Land Cruiser...as long as someone else is picking up the tab for gas
