Default Reliability of 2001 Mustang V6?

A friend of mine is considering buying a relatively low mileage V6 Mustang. She is on a pretty tight budget of around $5k, and for whatever reason she likes the Mustang. Her biggest concern is reliability, she can't afford to spend much money on repairs that might be required in the future. What is the reliability of those cars, and how expensive are parts?

If she is on tight budget, don't get the Stang, I hear nothing but complaints on that generation from my clients who have them.

Good news, she test drove the car and decided against it.

The car must have been falling apart during the test drive

Actually consumer reports ranks the mustang as a pretty reliable car. I was surprised.
