So is this the GS coupe or an IS coupe, because I dont see a 2.5 hybrid being in the GS range, at least not in the US. An IS coupe with the 2.5 sounds about right.
Exciting that it has D-4S technology though...

It can't be the GS Coupe since under the European car classification, GS falls into the E-segment executive cars. Since this is an European press release, it is undoubtedly the IS Coupe which is the only Lexus model within the D-segment large cars.

Hard to decipher, I think.
To most of us, "midsize coupe" is A5/E coupe but for Europe, D-Segment is cars like the C Class and 3 Series. Tomorrow, once the specs of the concept are released, we should have a better idea of where this car might slot in, if it is produced

its GS - thats whats midsize... IS is not midsized even in europe, we call IS compact.
Most important thing here is this:
- sub 100g/100km CO2 means as efficient as CT200h (which is 98g/100km)
- D4S implementation - means more hp, more efficiency. So far only expensive V6 hybrids had D4S.
I would say it is variant of Camry hybrid but significantly improved with D4S that Camry does not have and re-engineered to fit RWD configuration.
GS (Coupe) with 42mpg and 200-240hp? Yes, this will sell in Europe... put it in IS, GS, RX, heck put it into LS.

Yay is right! We have an IS coupe everyone!!!
I think the production model will actually look better than this, the concept has too much fussy details that should be rounded out well in the production model.
