Default New Details on the Lexus RC Coupe

Mag-X from Japan is reporting that the Lexus production model based on the LF-CC concept will be available by August 2014, and will be available with three engines:

•Lexus RC 200t, equipped with a new turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine
•Lexus RC 300h, using the same hybrid powertrain as the new IS 300h
•Lexus RC 350, with the workhorse 2GR-FSE V6

Mag-X claims that a high-performance RC F powered by the IS F’s 416 hp V8 engine will be released in late 2015– the translated text also repeats the rumor that the IS F will be discontinued after the current model.

RC - Lexus scoop!

Said two-door model is essential for a premium brand. And Mercedes-Benz C / E / CL Class, BMW 4/6 series, such as the Audi A5 series, urged German lineup has been enhanced in any brand. Lexus is also in conformity to this theory, I seem to be developing a coupe of new era

A new generation of Lexus two-door coupe, its identity

Lineup or "F" for high-performance

New Lexus IS, which debuted at the Detroit show brilliantly in 2013. Rumors that the new station wagon variant is added to the body, but was flowing, the project seems frozen. What appeared likely to be instead, but two-door coupe.

To the current model IS convertible two-door with a retractable hard top has been lined up, the next model is likely to be the adoption of the orthodox model fixed roof. This coupe, it becomes a new car with a dedicated name not only in two-door version of the IS just a fact.

When the team found out scoop, this new two-door turned out to be claiming Lexus RC. Is scheduled to appear in the summer of 2014, three models, RC300h, RC200t RC350 lineup is likely to be for the time being.

"T" of 200t refers to the turbo. It is a model equipped with a 2L turbo downsizing is the new generation of the Toyota unit I mentioned in Lexus NX200t/300h. 300h, a hybrid model of the familiar 2.5L 4 + motor straight crown and Camry. RC350 is equipped with 3.5L V6 engine car.

But start with this lineup RC moment, hidden ball Tobikkiri are ahead. Wow, says it will be a high-performance version of RC-F is turned on. Power train, the combination of the V8 engine and 8-speed AT EMPRESS 5L of the current IS-F. It's going to be a Spartan atmosphere and dedicated bumper wider adoption of the front fender, the pursuit of functionality.

As a result of the introduction of the RC-F, in the next IS seems to IS-F is not available. There would also aim on the sales strategy to sharpen the image of the RC to be a new model. Appear RC-F, and will debut in late 2015 for about a year as the theory of this kind of high-performance vehicles, from standard cars.

Exactly what I've guessed. New engines will be debuted with the new RC before IS get them at the refresh.

2.0T could come at any time, doesnt have to be major facelift... just like 2007 GS350.

I am thinking a lot of Lexus cars could get it in 2014/2015.

Default Lexus LF-CC racer revealed for Japanese Super GT

Will replace the SC 430

Lexus has revealed plans to use a LF-CC-based race car for next year's Super GT Series GT500.

Following Honda's announcement to field the NSX Concept-GT in the Super GT Series GT500, Lexus has prepared a racecar based on the stunning LF-CC Concept which will take part in the same competition in 2014. Lexus' new racer will serve as a replacement for the SC 430 and it has already been tested this week at Suzuka in Japan.

The production version of the LF-CC has been confirmed to go on sale in 2015 and is expected to be offered as a coupe and convertible. Reports are indicating it will utilize the rear-wheel drive platform which underpins the GS and IS, with the wider track of the GS and the shorter wheelbase of the IS. Chances are the car will adopt a hybrid setup derived from the drivetrain powering the GS 350h.

Default Lexus LF-CC to Compete in Japanese Super GT Series

Lexus Racing has announced that it will be competing in the 2014 Japanese Super GT Series with an all-new LF-CC race car.

The LF-CC Super GT car will compete in the Super GT Series GT500 class starting next season and will be replacing the current Lexus SC 430. A two-door coupe concept, the LF-CC debuted at the 2012 Paris Motor Show sporting an aggressive exterior design.

Though the LF-CC hasn’t surfaced as a production model in the Japanese automaker’s lineup, it heavily influenced the design of the 2014 IS. The team has begun performance vehicle shakedown tests at the Suzuka Circuit. It is believed that when the Lexus RC makes its official debut, it’ll be the production variant of the LF-CC concept.

Is it just me or does the LF-CC racer look worlds better than the NSX and the GT-R racers? Just so much more cohesive.

this is like japanese nascar. i don't see the point as these race cars will bear almost no resemblance to what ends up being available. nice p.r. though... i guess.

I think it is you. They are all pretty ugly with all that body cladding and aerodynamic add ons. From some angles I think the NSX looks okay but they sure did the design no favors with all those add ons. For that racing series they often take nice looking cars and make them look pretty bad. Not a fan of that Lexus racecar's styling at all but it could be a exciting hint with what they are going to produce. Leman's and Sebring type race cars look much better and the styling is more representative of what you can buy in many cases.

Part of me is bummed that it's not "Toyota" up against Honda and Nissan.
