the LF-LC could fit above a GS sedan as the GS coupe as a 6 series competitor / a7 competitor, but this is definately not that car.
From what I been reading, the LF-LC will be built on the LS chassis and will go head to head with the new Acura NSX, Infiniti Emerg-E, BMW i8, Audi R8 E-Tron, Mercedes-Benz SLS E-Cell, and ect. The LF-LC will be a 6 figure dollar super-car.
I still think a GS coupe is still possible, and that would better filled the gap left by the SC430.

i know I read that somewhere too but you can tell from its shape as wel as a business perspective that it wont battle those cars u mentioned. Lexus should try and fill the gap in their existing line up. A segment that competes with the 6 series/m6 and the SL/SL63. Essentially a new SC, but longer and sexier.
All the cars u mentioned are mid engine cars except for the i8 but that has the battery in the front and yet the engine is still in the rear. So this wont go to head to head with any of those cars. (other than maybe from a price point) The LF LC is a grand tourer w a Front Engine Rear Wheel drive layout.
regardless It wont make too much sense to introduce another halo car that wont sell in numbers.

I think a GS coupe and a GS-F coupe would do the job when it comes to a 6-Series/M6 and E-Class coupe/E 63 AMG fighter. I do agree with you, Lexus should built a $80k SC replacement based the new GS chassis to take on the SL. The SLS is also front engine, but yes I was referring to pricing.
I think it would sale well If Lexus priced the LF-LC below $150k.
yea thats most likely scenario since the current one is based on a shortened GS.
Someone on Supraforums said when they did the spy shots under the test mule of the 2014 IS it had the same aluminum control arms as the current 2013 GS.
