Mike, Hang onto it man. Fix the leaks, throw some new suspension under it. still wayyyy cheaper than a new car payment.

Remember my old ES? I put like 6 grand in that thing. Cars very RARELY make financial sense. I got a buddy with a 1983 Trans Am that needs a full restoration.

It doesn't make financial sense but we are doing it anyway.

My pops and I get sad just thinking about it. I kind of want to put her out her misery or give it to someone who might fix it. He wants to keep it b/c its the first.

Swap out interior from newer ES, suspension/engine are easy fixes, and then you'll have one rare lex!

Any rust on it? How many miles and does it still run good?

If its a clean, straight body still I'd say keep it. I'm sure you can find a decent set of seats from a later model ES for not much coin, new struts(those are cheap on that car), maybe just ignore the oil leak until it gets comical.
