it also happens to be the world's biggest auto market. ignoring this market is like ignoring north America.
the only reason audi is so successful in China was because it was the first foreign car manufacturer stepped in when no one cared about that market (and quick frankly, their car sucked *** back in the days), and look at what happens now? it sold 313K audi last year, and likely a lot more this year due to the island issue (sales has increased 30% + for the first half year, that's was before the island issue)
let me remind you how many Lexus sold in U.S. in 2011, 198k, 2010, 229K, 2009, 216k, 2008, 260k. while audi love to have lexus level of sales in U.S. it has a much bigger pie in its hand.
