Yes she does. Yes looking at M5s and E63, I prefer the facelift, I'm not going to go to try to make 600/700hp. I can say I know both M5/ E AMG groups very well and that is attractive, a great group of people to hang with.
911 Turbo I've thought but I just had a good but buy a 996 and 1 month later they are 7k in repairs and they did their H.W Scares me.

both crowds are good, some hardcore and smart people. but just like everything else, i see enough facepalms over there that give me goose bumps. if you look at e60, try to find 09+, better value, and prices should come down more by end of this year. e63 you can find great deals everywhere. comparable vehicle m5 is usually few grands more
i think your friend just got unlucky. i know a few with 996 turbo and their cars have been pretty solid. i honestly would try to find one without nav, that way you have less to worry about. the drivetrain is pretty solid on porsche
You know we don't agree on much right now but yes, the way you did it, is the way to buy a Honda/Acura. A NSX, updated version, rare combo. Thats it. End of discussion. Maybe a S2000. Otherwise no thanks.
Tesla, no thanks, I don't feel like being an experiment from an unproven company. Its not like Lexus hybrids backed by Toyota. Looks great though and the 7 seat option just makes sweet love to my logical side.

s2000 is nice, but 2 problems. first it's manual so it's a no-go for you. second the car is very small, i really doubt if you can fit in it comfortably

another thought, if you want to be boss, get cl63 or s63. imho s63 is really up there, but its price stays pretty strong too (flagship, more versatile, etc...). the cl63, surprisingly, is cheaper in the used market by comparison, because it's a coupe. so it's far better value, and i think it still screams baller.
if you ask me, of course cl63 > cls63
just keep in mind if...
1) the abc breaks. when you see puddle of pink fluid on your garage floor, that's the cry of your wallet
2) the active bolsters. i have seen so many people with theirs broken / malfunction

It''d depends on what you really try to accomplish with this move:
- Raising eye brows of Lexus people (and neighbors) -> expensive German MB/Audi/BMW
- Just want to experience driving fun at reasonable costs -> modded BRZ/FRS
- Midlife crisis issues -> 911/LFA/Lambo (need to be creative with finance thought)
- An economical/dependable car (no one'd look at you twice) -> TCH
- Be patriotic -> GM/Ford
- Be rational -> Wait for the next hot Lexus product
These are just my examples for each category. Only you know what's the real purpose for this acquisition.
