I love the S-Class but the A8 is so boring and bland looking.

i dont see why, old touchscreen wasnt that responsive when you had to position the car around, it had on screen buttons that you press left/right/up/down, so it is almost the same now, maybe even better.

i think new self parking system is going to go into a lot of cars, they just announced it for new Auris/Corolla in Europe.

The pre face lift LS460 2.0 is the very definition of boring, inside and out. This new LS460 2.0 looks better than a S class and ties A8 for class appeal. The 7 series on the other hand still looks bad.

1. A8.
2. LS460 2.0
3. S-Class.
4. 7 series.

It is beyond painfully obvious you are trolling and have no idea about luxury cars. Stop while you are ahead.

The A8 is by far the blandest looking car in class with the Eqquas and easily confused with an A3,4 etc. but OMG it has Xmas led lights.

Guys knock off the personal commentary. Use the ignore list for someone that bothers you.

Default New Lexus LS F SPORT Video from Japan

The new 2013 Lexus LS debuted in Japan this week, and there’s a new LS 460 F SPORT video as part of the promotion:

While the growling exhaust may liven up the video, the LS F SPORT doesn’t sound that loud from the driver’s seat — from my first drive review:
…any hard acceleration in the new LS is accompanied by a faraway thunder, deep and distant and entirely suitable for the sport edition of a flagship sedan.

Default Self Driving Lexus LS 600hL Spotted in Michigan

A self-driving Lexus LS 600hL has been spotted just outside of the Toyota Technical Center in Michigan — LeftLane News has photos:

Looking similar to Google’s self-driving RX 450h (albeit less polished), this LS prototype has all the technology expected with an autonomous vehicle, with sensors and cameras clearly visible all over the car.

The logical guess would be that Lexus is looking to add autonomous driving to the LS — considering the cost of development, introducing self-driving technology to the Lexus flagship sedan first makes a whole lot of sense.

Default TRD Releases 2013 Lexus LS Body Kit

Just like Japanese tuner Modellista, official Lexus tuner TRD has released a body kit for the 2013 LS 460 F SPORT — the kit includes a split front spoiler, sideskirts, quad-exhausts with a rear diffuser, and a set of 20-inch wheels:

For the TRD body kit and the quad exhausts, the cost is ¥504,000 ($6,404 USD) — the 20-inch wheels are ¥604,000 ($7,668 USD) alone. Much like the Modellista kit, there’s no word on North American availability.

Default SEMA 2012: Project Lexus LS F SPORT by Five Axis

Frequent Lexus tuner FiveAxis will be bringing a modified LS 460 F SPORT to SEMA next week — Lexus has released some early renderings:

Considering the previous vehicles from Five Axis, including last year’s GS F SPORT, I’m pretty excited about this new Project LS F SPORT — SEMA is shaping up to be quite an event this year.

Default 2013 Lexus LS 460 F Sport By Five Axis Heads To SEMA Show

With less than a week to go until the 2012 SEMA show, news of all the modified cars to be showcased in the halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center is coming hot and fast. The latest announcement comes from Lexus, which once again has called on its tuning partner Five Axis to help build its SEMA attraction.

The basis this year for Five Axis’s project car is the revamped 2013 Lexus LS, and not just any old LS but the new LS 460 F Sport model.

The most obvious change to the car made by Five Axis is the aggressive body kit, which builds on last year’s stunning kit for the GS 350 F Sport by adding a myriad of new lines, huge fender vents and a slotted diffuser integrated into the rear bumper.

The car has also been given a custom titanium matte finish, which is highlighted with several pewter gray accents such as found on the grille frame, aero aids and exhaust tips. The wheels are Five Axis’ own 22-inch design and to give it a racer look, the whole car has been lowered and its suspension stiffened with an AirRunner TC-5 suspension kit.

No mention of any engine mods has been made, so expect the LS 460 F Sport’s regular 4.6-liter V-8, rated at 386 horsepower and 367 pound-feet of torque, to be nestled under the hood.

We expect much more from Lexus over the coming week, including the North American debut of the LF-CC concept from the recent 2012 Paris Auto Show, so stay tuned for updates. The 2012 SEMA show doesn't kick off on until October 30, but in the meantime check our ongoing coverage of the event via our dedicated show page.

I like it a lot. I love what Lexus has done here with the new face after seeing it in person. I do think it fits the LWB version better than SWB and I would LOVE a more swoopy body with it next generation.

Great work and can't wait to see it next week!

That would look sick in a darker color like black or gray...but the silver...too much.

five axis ls for sema is a giant fail although it will appeal to those who wouldn't buy the car anyway.

trd / f sport kit parts are also a giant fail.
