F Sport definately looks better in darker colors

After doing research yesterday I not only found design patent images of the 2014 IS(sadly they aren't there anymore), but also the XF40 facelift. It reveals that the exterior designer of the 2013 LS is Koichi Suga. They interestingly coincide with the date on which a full resolution teaser was released of the LS600h F-Sport prototype on that RX Geneva video. Here's what they look like:

No, I didn't get to unfortunately as I had too many tabs open and was downloading a video, so Chrome crashed. It's gone or being blocked. I opened up only the first patent of interest to me, but not the second one as OHMI only allows you to open up one at a time. One was sketches and the other was likely actual images of the mid-section(can't be too sure). I literally tossed my laptop on the floor and went straight to bed after all of that as I expected Chrome to at least keep a record of webpages and online images I've looked at. I mentioned more in 2014 IS thread on what I found, plus an ES sketch example of what I saw.

Lexus USA has released two new commercials for the 2013 Lexus LS, and they’re pretty awesome:

Really like the direction Lexus has taken the LS marketing — the LS has always been my favorite Lexus, and these commercials capture the personal excitement that I have about the model.

Definitely digging the feel of the new commercials, though I am not quite sure how successful they will hit the target market for this car. That said, it seems like they are after a new group of buyers: affluent folks in their 40s and early 50s instead of 60s+.

I am not quite sure that I understand the first spot...how does it relate to the LS? "Some day your life will flash before your eyes - make it worth watching." The LS is the car that will make your life worth watching?Maybe this line appeals more to the 60s+ demographic? A bunch of clips of people enjoying the finer things in life mixed with moving shots of an LS is not particularly powerful, though the music and imagery are nice. P.S., what is with the 350Z exhaust note? lol.

The second one makes a lot more sense to me - I like it a lot.

The third does a nice job of tying together all the important elements of an LS - design, performance and quality. I like this one a lot as well.

really love most of what lexus did to the LS, it looks so good. i prefer darker color so the front doesn't look out of place. on light color that dark cross bar is a bit much. love it overall

I'm not a fan at all of the 2007-2012 LS style or marketing, but the facelift LS 2.0 is just awesome and commercials are actually good.
