That's it? You may be expecting something a lot more heroic for the 2013 Emergency Refresh of the Honda Civic, but from what we can make out in these new spy photos, the changes are more detail than drastic. It looks like the taillamps, front grille and headlamps are the most drastic changes, and the front fascia and trunklid have also been given attention.
The interior is probably more important than any nips or tucks done outside. To get a good look at that, we're going to have to wait until the refreshed Civic hits dealer lots, reportedly just a couple weeks away. In any case, consumers will probably (and not without good reason) go on predictably banking on the Civic as a paragon of automotive virtue, regardless of whether auto critics love or hate the changes Honda has wrought.

If additions of projectors and different tail lights are it, then it is a big let down because this was supposed to be an emergency refresh. I was expecting something much more in terms of exterior revisions. The interior dash looks like to have a different shape to it?

They sell around 25k a month and that's all you need to know about who this car is aimed for. It's been blasted everywhere but Honda put some money on the hood, a first for the civic and it sells.
I just find the civic and corolla pretty low rent and bad with all the new competition. A nip tuck won't change my mind much.

Pretty much. But I chalk it up to its stellar resale value. IMO, the Corolla and Civic resale is bordering on nonsensical! I cant blame anyone for still wanting to buy them regardless of how dated they are.

I hope they get rid of the silly "Star Trek" dash, and put all the instruments back in one binnacle. That always drove me nuts, you look under the steering wheel for the tach, over the steering wheel for the speedo, and all the other gauges are kind of flung everywhere.
