Default Left the Corvette specialty shop with 40 more whp/40 wtq and some New Rims

I really have to curtail my spending on this thing, it's getting out of hand. I really had no intention on getting new rims. Originally went in for the LG Pro Long Tube Headers and X-pipe, but was pointed to the new Matte Black rims that just came in. I couldn't help myself... These are repos of the new 2013 427 Vert' Centennial Edition wheels. What do you guys think of the red on satin black wheel combo?

Here are some crappy shots with my iphone for now. One thing is certain, the LSx motor was meant to have the headers swapped out...BIG difference in sound/power.

I was all ready to diss the rims (dislike aftermarket)....but I love them!!!!

black is the new chrome

looks great! Click some pics in daylight if you have time.

also -- I can't see from these pics but those wheels open up the hubs and rotors a lot, you might wanna consider painting the hubs (silver or black)...they're usually all cruddy looking.

LTH are one of most popular mods for sure on the Vette. When you have a vette and the mod bug, you get gerat results

Thanks. I appreciate it. What stinks is I modded the car and took a flight the next morning leaving the car behind (hence the crappy night shots). Once I get back, I'll shoot some better pics with a real camera during the day. I'll also try to shoot some sound bites....

That's not a bad idea about painting the hubs. I'll have to take a closer look when I get back.

Unfortunately, there were 3 other Vette's waiting to get dyno tuned, so he just hooked mine up to his laptop and told me "that should give you at least 40 whp and 40 wtq." It definitely did. The gain in mid-and upper range torque is quite noticeable. The active handling now kicks in at highway speeds if you bury the throttle (something it didn't do before). The sound the accompanies it is quite awesome.

Some better pics. My hubs aren't an issue on inspection.

Idle....

Some guy came out of nowhere at the end and scared the ***** out of me (comments at the end are not mine)

The long tube headers really make a significant difference in sound from 5000-6500K compared to what my aftermarket exhaust made with the stock headers. It really does sound bad ***. Thanks The headers were pricey but worth every penny after hearing that roar with the top down after a stressful day I'm planning on picking up a GoPro Hero3 this week. I'll put some vids together with the top down and at full throttle with the camera behind the driver seat to give you some feel of how it sounds.

Nice choice with your headers. I went with American Racing LT headers and X-pipe on mine and matched them up with a Magnaflow catback. Really nice exhaust note for my liking and I've been considering DMH cut-outs but definitely not a priority. I also have a ported TB and ported intake manifold with a Calloway intake. Those are nice mods as well if you're considering them. Have fun with it.

If I had that car, I'd be WOT all the damn time. And broke and in jail, most likely, but you know what I mean...
