BMW 4-Series Concept Leaked

With all of the heritage and history the 3 Series has, it seems surprising and odd that BMW would change to a 4 Series... a car styled/modeled after the 2002, or a "2002" nameplate, would do the car's history more justice than changing to the "4 Series." I get that they want to do something "different," but 3 Series purists are probably up in arms over the name change...

I don't understand them abandoning the 3 series moniker, I mean there is so much heritage, passion, and consumer identification in that number. But whatever, its only a number, its not like somebody is changing the name on a Ford Mustang or a Honda Civic.
As for the car, man its stunning on the outside. The inside is just a concept thank goodness, if I had to come up with a name for the concept, it wouldn't be "4 series coupe". I'd have that plate reading "335i King Ranch".
