Right, it makes nooo sense at all. These cars are never compared against each other, right? These cars are not even close to being in the same class, right?
Really? I had no idea
Please explain the "tons of engines" that are offered on the A4
I didn't make "3 series" a choice on this poll. I said "335i" - a very specific model for a very specific selection of cars.
And yes, I know the G37 is a single engine offering, not quite sure what your point is?

For that matter, no ATS? CTS is no longer entry. Lacrosse?? Verano... Regal both before the Lacrosse. IS250?? Can't say 350 if you want A4 once again. MBZ C350?? No has to be the C250 or just say C-Class. S80?? No S60
Your topic is "Luxury". A Maxima, Avalon, and for that matter, Taurus, Genesis, Azera, 300 are all nicely appointed but far from "Luxury". Tier 1 brands like BMW, Audi, Lexus and MBZ, as well as Upscale brands like Lincoln, Caddy, Acura, Infiniti and Volvo are fine for this poll.
I'm sorry but this entire poll/thread is just a mess and all over the place. I suggest Mods close and reopen when there aren't as many conflict-ions.
Point being, either make it generic ie C-Class, 3-Series, IS or make it specific too ENTRY ie C250, 328i, IS250 etc..

Then you can't say A4. You have to say S4...

Secondly, the S4 is not anywhere in the same class as any other car on this poll and that is obvious. Should I also make the LFA an option?
Third, I based these selections on starting MSRP/class/size/various other factors. I didn't want a poll with 50 options, so I decided on these 13 (which is still, umm quite alot)

I know what the luxury brands are, thanks for the tip, but I already clearly stated in my first post that I added the Avalon and Maxima for fun. I thought about adding the Azera, but I didn't feel like it.
No, it's my poll and I didn't want it to be generic. I wanted it to be specific to these models. Again, feel free to start your own poll with your own options.

uh. No. S4 directly competes with the 335i and C350, both of which are in your poll. The A4 on the other hand, competes with the 320i/328i and C250/C300, which are not in the poll.

Starting prices for the vehicles on this poll:
Audi A4 - $32.5k
Acura TL - $35.9k
BMW 335i - $42.8k
Buick Lacrosse - $31.6
Cadillac CTS - $39k
Infiniti G37 - $36.9k
Lexus ES350 - $36.1k
Lexus IS350 - $40.3k
Lincoln MKZ - $35.9
Mercedes C350 - $41.4k
Nissan Maxima - $33.2k
Toyota Avalon - $31k
Volvo S80 - $39.1k
The 335i & C350 compete directly with the IS350, G37, Acura TL, etc. They do not compete directly with the S4 (although perhaps close in specs/performance). You know that and I know that. Furthermore, there has to be a limit to this poll, no? Should I include every car between $25k and $50k next time? or is it the term "entry level" that is causing you and others to be so upset? lol

I would knock off the A4 in favor of the S60, but OP says S80. I don't like the S80 which is a large sedan..

I'd vote for these four entry-level luxury sedans:
Buick Verano (it is library-quiet and better, IMO, than its larger sister Buick LaCrosse in several areas).
BMW 335i (especially the xi AWD version). It sets a standard of superb chassis engineering as a Drivers' Car.
Lexus ES350 (despite the loss of some sound insulation and refinement on the new 2013 model). Hard to beat it for time-proven reliability in this class as an everyday driver.
Cadillac CTS AWD (though I'm going to cheat a little on this one and put down the sharp-looking CTS SportWagon, not the actual sedan).
(if I could pick a fifth one, I'd also choose the Audi A4...with the Quattro AWD. Audi fit/finish and interiors are some of the best in the buisness)
