in before the unibody Pathfinder s*cks comments, i'm not looking offroading with it. just compare to Highlander and Pilot, who would prefer the new Pathfinder? it certainly looks sleek, and from the magazine reviews, it's a better buy than the Infiniti JX.

CVT kills it for me. I test drove the JX (same powertrain). Couldn't stand the engine/transmission combo.
Overall it's a good size and good features, etc.
I imagine a new Highlander and Pilot are right around the corner, and would be worth the wait.

G35x - RWD/AWD goodness
I took one for a test drive, the CVT works well, Nissan knows what they're doing when it comes to CVTs. As for the power, it was more than enough to get it moving at good speed. And because of these two items, it gets best in class MPG. Amazingly, it can also tow 5000lbs, again, best in class. And since it's so new, it has the freshest interior and very good packaging.
Some negatives, it seemed huge to me, but I'm used to smaller cars and crossovers. Also the panoramic roof has a huge support pillar blocking much of the upwards view for the second row passengers. And the two on my dealers lot were priced at $40k+.
That being said, it's worth taking for a test drive. The salesmen said they're offering $500 off for Nissan's "Season to Save" sales event. And if you do some research on edmunds.com, they have a banner ad for a $500 visa gift card if you do want to buy one.
