A very exotic shape indeed. I've seen a fair number of red, yellow and black ones around here

I dont think there is a better " bang for your buck" car on the market right now. Congrats buddy on the new Vette. Many happy miles. I dig the color choices you went with too

I would get Shark Gray just to be stealthier, but well it doesn't even matter what color you get, C7 turns heads.

Yes, it will definitely spin heads. Our neighborhood is at the end of a road with a elementary and middle school. Those 8-15 year old boys know more about what this car is than most young adults. It's fun to drive by and look in the mirror. In a group of 8 or so, every head will be looking back on a swivel .

The Stingray is powered by a 6.2 liter V-8 engine that makes 460 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. The Z51 package takes this sports car to another level by adding lots of race and track goodies. Unfortunately during this test the Performance Traction Management System and the Launch Control was not working.

A best 0-60 MPH time of 4.7 seconds (real world test) came with the Drive Mode set to "Track" and the Traction Control switched "Off".

That's not out of a US Z51 Stingray, the speedometer doesn't go anywhere near 330 mph.

Default Callaway C7 Corvette Confirmed With 627 HP And 610 LB-FT

Corvette tuner extraordinaire Callaway showed us its first take on the seventh-generation ‘Vette earlier this year and now the company has confirmed performance specs. The company has also announced pricing, with the basic ‘SC627’ package—complete with a 3 year/36,000 mile powertrain warranty—costing $17,995 when you supply the donor Corvette Stingray.

Thanks to Callaway’s third-generation supercharger design, which features an Eaton Twin Vortices Series (TVS) rotor and an intake manifold whose runner cross-section and length were tuned for a broad torque band, engineers have managed to boost output of the Corvette Stingray’s 6.2-liter LT1 V-8 to 627 horsepower and 610 pound-feet of torque.

That represents a substantial 167 hp increase in the power of the stock Corvette Stingray, while torque is up 145 lb-ft. Callaway’s Corvette SC627 even encroaches on the performance of Chevy’s own Corvette Z06, which has been confirmed with 650 hp and 650 lb-ft.

Now that calibration development is completed, production of the Callaway Corvette SC627 has commenced. Production cars have already begun shipping from Callaway's workshops in Old Lyme, Connecticut and Santa Ana, California. Some of the options available include a sport exhaust system ($2,890), a custom car cover ($540) and National Corvette Museum Delivery ($2,000).

When the Valet Mode is active, the industry-exclusive system allows drivers to lock the interior storage, disable the infotainment system and record video, audio and vehicle data.

Callaway option costs $17,995 when you supply the donor Corvette Stingray.

National Corvette Museum Delivery ($2,000).
no thanks, I'll wait for the Z06

and why the hell would they charge $2000 for museum delivery, more than double the price of a normal Vette ($990) -- is it because they have to ship the car BACK there or something?
