I agree but I was surprised by the door close solid thud.

Not everyone, of course, makes or breaks a deal based on how much of a thunk the doors make. But, in general, it can be an indication of how well the car is assembled at the factory, and what kind of materials were used in making the door.

But not always. In the 1990's, Mercedes vehicles, for example, still had doors that closed like bank-vaults, while the cars themselves were becoming more and more unreliable each year.

Nice to hear that solid thud on a fairly inexpensive car,though.
