Quality over Quantity my friend. Just cause they don't sell as many cars doesn't mean they are better or worse. Audi could simply throw jabs at MBZ and BMW but Lexus is also a tier 1 make and the product and popularity is getting better. When you're threatened by something it's either flight or fight. Audi being German naturally took the latter lol.

Also Lexus has done the same to the Germans. You'll find all three in this one

Actually in the new Lexus IS Video released by MT, their chief Engineer says that the IS was compared to the BMW 3 Series and Merc. No mention of Audi there , and rightly there was no need of

I'm no Audi fan but people here must be really kidding themselves if they really think that Audi somehow is beneath Lexus. You have the internet do a search on worldwide sales and the other cars VW/AUDI have under its umbrella.
The U.S. is not the only country in the world. I still think of Lexus as tier 1 but it's still a niche car company imo. They really need more cars in their lineup.
On another note I like the way Lexus is headed. I’m still not fan of the exterior grill but they are bringing sport/handling back to the table.
Now stop fck around and bring me a coupe and put a V8 in the GS.

comparing sales volumes isn't very meaningful as mb/bmw/audi have been around a lot longer and have a lot more vehicle models.

lexus has been steadily growing volume and model range, but since it has toyota as well, it has no need to offer stripped models. it's a nice position to be in.

as for the tweets - seems like pretty friendly competition.
