yeah, Croatia.. because kids turn them on all the time :-).

Also, I find it interesting that rear fogs are way more useful and in US you dont get them in most cars.

Speaking of rear fogs, I like rear fogs ONLY if they come in either of two different configurations:

CENTER position

OR

Both Left and Right sides

With that said, I am not a fan of those with only one fog lamp on either left or right side ONLY.

Aka asymmetric 'butt'

Hence, when that happens, your car will only have one reverse light

center ones are cool if car is designed around them... there might be some laws about that in Europe, as they are very strong if you use them without fog. They will sear into your brain :-). Some cars dont let you turn on back ones without front, probably for this reason.

I just read that in UK it is same as in Croatia, it is illegal to drive with fogs unless there is fog :-).

Almost a moot point. Britain, of course, like our own climate around Seattle, is notorious for its fog and generally damp conditions.

How about both, they make the car look more sporty and they do help me see better in crappy weather. Fog lights/driving lights really do help in low light and bad weather conditions! Both my Lexus and Bmw have Fog Lights, driven them both in bad weather and 2 lane dark desolate highways. The extra illumination helps a lot.

In L.A. at night, I often see people with rear fogs on when it's clear out. From a distance, it appears to be brakes. This throws off people and tricks them to think traffic is slowing ahead when it's not. This is exactly how traffic jams starts. One unnecessary brake application, and twenty others start braking- all because an old lady didn't realize she had her rear fogs on or someone was trying to look cool. Not to mention rear fogs at night stand out like a sore thumb to cops.
