wow i actually really like the new model that they came out with. like people said they are going in the right direction

 

Definitely looks like a smaller Avalon, which is not a bad thing! Like the Nissan Sentra resembling a smaller Maxima, looks like the economy cars are finally seeing some more "luxury" looks and options!

 

The running jokes around here is to never get stuck behind a beige corolla. By the looks of this one, maybe it won't be such a bad thing. Hoping it gets some guts to go with the looks.

 

This new Corolla appears to be a European spec. The rectangular front plate and the Toyota Europe font is apparent. The Corolla Furia concept is supposed to be more in line with the North American look for Corolla. So like the Camry, the new Corolla for North America may look a tad bit different in the nose and the rear compared to other global markets.

 

You know what bud, I'm just super happy Toyota and Lexus have truly split ways in design. You have to be a hateful troll to try to say this looks anything like a Lexus.

So in that regard, I am super happy.

 

It reminded me of the pre update HS250h. Nothing wrong with that.

Well the original HS is the last car Lexus released before Lexus started to truly break away from Toyota-like designs. Anything new, redesigned or refreshed after that, starting with the CT, began to adopt Lexus's new design theme and no longer look like a Toyota.

That said, I do hate that the pan-Asian 2012 Camry look too much like the pre-facelift current-gen LS that was still selling at the same time. Wish they hadn't done that.

 

The new face lifted HS250h looks really good, i think it wears the spindle grille very well.

The new Corolla is also a huge improvement. Front end looks better than the asian Camry also known as the Aurion in some markets.

Very sharp. Way cleaner and sleeker than the Camry's blocky and upright body.

Loving the tails, headlights and grill. Finally a Corolla with character!

Can't wait to see official full bodied pics. And I really want to see the "S" version or what might be now called the "SE" (as the Yaris adopted).
