As the others stated, the GS is 5 series competition. I wonder why the salesman directed you toward the ES and not GS since it mixes Lexus luxurious with BMW's previous sport

In the 4GS forum there are quite a few BMW owners there who have the new GS due to the way it drives.

Haha nice, this tells you how much European car's owners knows about the Japanese brand, which Lexus is most like the 5-series, they don't even know what a Lexus is. Which means they never cross shop at all, until they get burn from the constant repair.
