I'm just curious if anybody has ever seen a dealership like this. It's the only one I have ever seen with these kinds of amenities. Would it make any difference in your purchase? Would this be enough to sway any of you to buy a car here and not elsewhere. Feel free to post comments negative or positive.

There's a huge Lexus dealership in Bellevue near Seattle... and then just outside of Chicago in Palatine another one is being built that will supposedly have a theater.
I'm not sure how I feel about these dealerships. I would feel that their overhead is so expensive, that they couldn't possibly be giving me the best possible price.

Local lexus dealer is about 2 miles from a giant mall and movie theatre. They give you a free ride there and back when your car is in service. So WHY should I care??? That fancy facility and extra staff seems like a good reason for them to price gouge you on service and not be competitive on price when buying a new car.

The Tesla dealership is inside a fancy mall in Toronto. That mall has a cineplex, mutiple restaurants, multiple salons and off course all the bling you can ask for from the hottest designer labels store.

Off course there is, thanks for stating the obvious there sherlock. In this case, the dealer didn't have to foot the real estate, construction or operational costs of those "amenities" since they are part of independent entities in the shopping center. From a customer point of view, the end effect is the same though, you get all the amenities from a single physical location. Now only if Tesla's entry price would be more in line with mainstream EV's rather than ultra luxury with uncertain future.

If price is that much of a consideration, then why buy or lease a Lexus in the first place? There are plenty of nice vehicles out there that sell for less money (the new Chevy Impala and Toyota Avalon are two of the better examples). Lexus ownership, as I see it, is about a premium owner/dealer experience, not necessarily getting the lowest price....even among Lexus shops.

People that generally make money didn't get there by just giving it all away on poor purchases and decisions.
I still want to make informed decisions and competitive purchases. This can co-exist with a premium owner/dealer experience. But this idea of salons and theaters is a bit excessive. Also, it's a Lexus, I don't expect to be at the dealer/service all that often.
