Will Lexus Reuse the 1LR engine?
IT seems Lexus has lost a lot of money on the LFA, what are the possibilities that Lexus drops the 1LR into an IS body for a special version
or the new SC.....?

The 1LR engine is a engineering feat.
It's made of titanium, aluminum and magnesium. This V10 is lighter and more compact than the current V6 found in the GS & IS. The engine alone probably costs $100k+.
Forgive me, I don't have the eagerness at this time to search the forums for specific articles and quotes. It's just something that has been discussed several times before...

They won't use the V10. The likelihood of NA V6, Hybrid V6, Turbo V6, NA V8, Hybrid V8 and (not likely) Turbo V8 are much more fathomable.
Besides, the SC/LC will be a $90-125K GT coupe model. The demographic buying those not looking for a screaming 9000K redline. It is a GT and not a supercar after all

The engine itself will never see life in another Lexus model. But you can be sure some of the tech will.

But yeah we are probably never going to see it reused in any other model.
It was meant for an amazing car like the LFA.

You make it sound as if the LFA were going away. The LFA, as well as its wonderful "shriek", will be heard for many, many, years to come.
