Toyota Reveals Updated TS030 Hybrid race car for 2013 Le Mans
Last year, Toyota faced disappointment competing in the 24 Hours of Le Mans with its TS030 Hybrid, but finished off the race season strong, claiming two victories and looking to topple Audi’s reign this year.
Toyota Racing has done plenty of work in the off season, and has debuted its first video of the updated TS030 Hybrid race car for the 2013 race season. The TS030 will compete in the 2013 FIA World Endurance Challenge, which will include this year’s Le Mans 24 Hours. The car combines a 530 hp, 3.8L V8 with a hybrid system that contributes an additional 300 hp of electric boost.
Undoubtedly the team will not be satisfied until it claims a victor at the Le Mans 24 Hours race.

I hope this time, it wont get into a collision with the Nissan.
I second Hoovey's motion of having it put into some Lexus and Toyota vehicles. FRS anyone as Clarkson would put it "P-O-W-E-R"

I expect them to be even faster. They eliminated the compromise for the front hybrid drivetrain. That increases the efficiency of the aerodynamics at the front of the car.

Of course that's not the final bodywork, I expect to see some changes before they actually go racing. Looks more like testing bodywork.
The car is looking good though. Love that new engine sound, it just sounds so raw and wild !
Excited for this season and next season as well. Great things are in store for Toyota in motorsports I feel.

Toyotas had awesome qualy session taking 1st and 2nd but in race Audis overtook them in matter of minutes. #1 car with Wurz even dropped the place to #2 Toyota suggesting there could be some work required.
Kobayashi 2nd in F430 in GTE Pro right behind Aston driven by Senna.
EDIT: #1 Toyota about to be 3 lapped by Audis

But both cars lost positions to the two Audis soon after, settling into third (#8) and fourth (#7) positions as track temperatures did not suit the chosen Michelin tyre compound.
Around one-third distance Nicolas took over the #7 with Stéphane getting behind the wheel of the #8.
Within a few minutes, rain created tricky conditions and Nicolas switched briefly to intermediate tyres before reverting to slicks as the track dried.
Still running third and fourth, just after half distance Stéphane handed over the #8 to Sébastien as, 30 minutes later, Alex got back behind the wheel of the #7 for his final stint.
Both cars switched to the alternative tyre compound which was better suited to conditions and they showed a strong pace but could not close the gap on the leading Audis.
