Yeah, and there was a white one out front that was also $110k, only did not have the M Sport package, had other options instead and it was downright plain. I had to look at it twice to even realize it was a new 7.

The S Class base with the basic wheels can also look a little plain, but spec'ed to $110k they're very sharp.

I actually like the style of the 7 series better. I've tried and tried but the S550 shape just doesn't appeal to me.

Have you seen one in person yet? I preferred it in pictures.

Its not that I didn't like it, it just didn't strongly appeal to me.

I have not, but I really do not like the S class, so I'll be surprised if my opinion changes.

Taking the S Class out of the equation, for some reason the new 7 just didn't do it for me in general.

Going for my break in service for my M, so I will go check out the new 7 as well.

Now I'm hoping it's not that good so I don't regret my M purchase, lmao!

I just priced out a 750 and an S550 how I would want them. S550 comes to $114,900, 750 comes to $101,500. That difference certainly helps...

The 7 series is on the list of Consumer Reports' cars to avoid, for several reasons. They also don't consider it a good value.

parents have went through 3 S550's, 2012, 2014, 2015. All three were $115K and above.

oil change= $300 check
new run flat tires- $3700 check, they last between 12-18K miles!

they have had two windshield replacements from rock dings, $1500 check!

Gotta pay to play! they put roughly 30-40K a year on road trips!

That has little to no bearing on the G11 7-series that's being discussed in this thread.

Nothing that unusual here with any flagship car...

i saw one 2-3 weeks back walking in downtown... exterior is very underwhelming. I dont think many people who are not into cars will realize this is brand new model since I almost passed by it not realizing.

Additionally, excessive use of chrome reminds me of Japanese cars in Asian markets, where they try to make them more upscale (Camry, Corolla, etc) by adding big slabs of chrome (Asian Camry has very similar bar of chrome connecting the tailights). Overall, it definetly did not look in the same class as S class and exterior was very underwhelming.

I am sure interior is nice... problem is that this vehicle has to make a statement and it isnt doing it.

Concept was such a great looking (although not finished completely) design, it I cant believe that once again they went with vanilla.... they are becoming like Toyota back 10 years ago, when Camry design was very safe.

In fact, concept reminds me of a lot that Lexus is trying to do with LC-FC, slimming down the profile and creating interesting rear. I sure hope (and firmly believe) Lexus will not back down from concept like BMW did.

and then we get BMW Camry edition.

BMW's new 7 Series is, according to them, the best it's ever been. Is it good enough to take down the Mercedes-Benz S Class? We have a look.

The S550 isn't exactly the bastion of style either, they're all conservative limos.
