If you're referring to the image, that's a glitch. It has two model names on the trunk lid. Also that's a base model 7-series, as indicated by the exhaust tips.

Lexus would likely do a FI 8. XJR is a blown 8 and the S63 has twins on its 8. The S65 is V12.

I doubt that a future Lexus LS -F will be V12 powered. It will have the F V8 in combination with a strong hybrid system and maybe a total output of 550-70 hp ? Yes it will be slower than the competition just like the GS-F , but it will be fast enough for 99% of the people out there.

Once you are actually driving a car like that, I think the number of characters on the trunk lid is going to be just about the last thing one thinks about. That would be like marrying your high-school sweetheart and counting how many letters are in the name-tag on her wedding dress LOL.

Why would you compare a car like that to a high school sweetheart? I guess you've never been married.

Only a partial-comparison. The main point was that, IMO, to have (or drive) a car like that, who's going to worry about characters on the trunk lid? You're simply going to enjoy your time behind the wheel.

I twin turbo V12? I'd have the most retarded grin on my face while driving that thing.

I think that is the wrong line of thinking for a car like the S class or 7 series. If I just dropped $120k on a new flagship, I'd damn well want people to know I have arrived. The S-class has enough presence and difference from the E class that people know you are driving something special.

If you want to stay low key, buy a 535i or E class, they're almost as big as the flagship cars now days and can be had with all the same technology and engines.

Personally the new 7 series looks way too much like a 2012 528i, which are a dime a dozen around where I live.
